Yes, this was really beautiful. There is a thin layer of ice on this photo but we cannot really see it ^^

I would love to go back to Zermatt, even though it has a scary huge glowing crucifix on the mountainside at night!

it's great how the weed kind of leads the eye to the mountain, exceptional composition.

Do you think March would be a good time for a trip to Zermatt ? I'm guessing that right now those lakes are frozen solid so it would be hard to capture a reflection..:)
Also, how's the accommodation around there ?
Many thanks ! Keep up the amazing work !

I think March is really too early in the year. This spot is at 2800m high. You must wait and go there after May... I'm not sure but I think it will be better.

You can go up there with a little railway called "Gornergrat Bahn", from Zermatt. (You must stop at Täsch and take the train during 10 minutes to reach Zermatt). It's a bit expensive, but it is fantastic...

Have a nice trip.
Vincent

i read here that you used a polarizer ... which i guessed you did . but how you got the reflection on the far side of the water !! rotated it ? hope i am not intruding here

It depends of the angle, and it is really different if your look down to your feet, or far to the horizon ^^ Wide Angle ;)

yea i guess so .. i used polarizers with the Cokin filter before ..... where it was easy to rotate the filter during long exposure .... and that gave a surrealistic effect some how however .. never with wide angle lens since i had no adapter for the polarizer ...and never captured any thing like your work ..

thank you for the explanation ... waiting to see more  :)

Did you use some kind of polarizer to help see through the water in the lower portion?
